Hobo Dinner

This old-school meal can be made with anything you have on hand. No dishes required! 

(pictured hobo dinner is sweet potatoes and chili)

Ingredients

Let your imagination be your guide here, or just use whatever you have leftover :)

  • Proteins:

    • Ground Beef

    • Chicken (cut into pieces)

    • Sausages 

    • Fish Fillets

    • Tofu or Tempeh

  • Vegetables:

    • Potatoes

    • Carrots

    • Onions

    • Bell Peppers

    • Zucchini or Squash

    • Corn, Green Beans, Peas

    • Mushrooms

  • Others:

    • Cheese (add at the end)

    • Rice or Quinoa (pre-cooked)

    • Beans or Chili

  • Tools:

    • Tin foil​

    • Tongs

Step One:

  • Prepare a double-layer of foil with olive oil

  • Spread your toppings evenly across foil

    • meat & heartier vegetables should be on the bottom layer​

  • Wrap it up and stick it in the coals of your fire

    • extra foil is always a good choice​

  • Leave foil packet in coals undisturbed for about 20 minutes

  • Use tongs to retrieve foil packet when cooking is finished
